Generational Systems, also known as Gene-Sys, is an innovative company specializing in metal additive manufacturing. Founded on the master's thesis research of Michael Knotts at Auburn University, Gene-Sys addresses the limitations of traditional metal 3D printing by developing a system that is more cost-effective, faster, safer, and user-friendly. Their technology utilizes a wire-based extrusion method with a custom feed wire profile, enabling rapid builds suitable for near-net applications. By making advanced metal 3D printing accessible and affordable, Generational Systems empowers creators and engineers to explore new possibilities in fabrication and design.
Branding and Logo Refinement
We conducted a thorough evaluation of Generational Systems' existing logo, identifying areas for improvement in resolution and design. To enhance their branding, we recommended creating a vector-based logo file with high-resolution raster exports, ensuring clarity and scalability across various applications. Additionally, we proposed developing multiple lockup variations to provide flexibility in different use cases. To better align the brand with its industrial focus, we suggested broadening the color palette and increasing contrast, creating a more modern and impactful visual identity.
Website Enhancements
We conducted a comprehensive review of Generational Systems' website, focusing on usability, layout, and performance to identify areas for enhancement. To improve the user experience, we recommended updates such as fixing inconsistent icons, replacing low-resolution images, and refining the layout for better intuitiveness and navigation. Additionally, we suggested adding new pages, including "How It Works" and "Our Team," to offer a more complete and engaging experience while showcasing the company's unique technology and expertise.
Technical and SEO Optimization
We conducted a detailed PageSpeed Insights analysis to identify performance issues and provided recommendations to improve website loading speed and accessibility.
